Touch Base UK supports social, mixed, not-for-profit tournaments organised by church outreach or sports ministry teams.
Local details may vary but, generally …
- Total beginners are welcome; there should be some basic coaching available prior to the games commencing
- If the tournament is big enough, there will be different leagues reflecting the different levels of playing experience (e.g. a ‘social’ league and an ‘elite’ league)
- Referees are likely to be serving free and unrewarded – please treat them gently!
- There may be a short talk about Jesus Christ at some point during the event, which participants are welcome (not required) to listen to. Guests not wishing to listen to the talk are kindly requested to avoid disturbing the speaker or other guests during this talk
- The tournament will usually end with a barbecue or party, which all players and guests are welcome to join
These tournaments are designed to bring out the best in every player and raise the bar all round. Please help to foster an atmosphere in which everyone can enjoy the competitiveness, without compromising the spirit of fun.
