Touchbase UK has, again, been invited to provide some Touch Rugby coaching and games at the Big Church Day Out in Loughborough on Saturday 29th of May, and back at Wiston House, West Sussex, on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st of May.
We’re looking for Touch Rugby players near either location who would like to be a part of this Christian event, to help coach people who are new to Touch for the bulk of the afternoon. The evening would then be free for you to enjoy the rest of The Big Church Day Out’s line-up, which may include the likes of Hillsong United, Israel Houghton & New Breed, Switchfoot, TobyMac, Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, Graham Kendrick, Lou Fellingham, and many more.
Please email Nick if you would like to help.

This Easter Saturday, come and learn a fun way of getting to know your neighbours better! From 3pm until about 5pm, All Souls Eastbourne Sports ministry and friends will be offering coaching in mixed, social Touch Rugby at their usual venue in Gildredge Park.
All are welcome; no previous experience of any Rugby code is required (and, frankly, no particularly high level of fitness is required either!); and we hope to head over to our friends at the nearby tennis club afterwards for some light refreshments!
Please contact nick@touchbaseuk.org for more details.

We are hoping to have a big overhaul of the structure and content of this site very soon, and would be very grateful to all users who might be able to email us some feedback as to what they like, what they don’t like, what’s helpful, and what more they would like to see – any exemplar site links also welcome. Many thanks!
Thanks to Simon Wardle the Crosstouch 2009 photographs are now available in the gallery. If you want a high resolution copy please let us know and we can make them available.

So good seeing you all at the tournament on Sat and thanks for helping to make it such a fun day (despite the traditional summer weather!).
Want to keep playing?
The Cross Touch tournament might just be once a year but loads of us play socially every week in Wandsworth Common, Regent’s Park and Hyde Park. For details of these and other regular games further afield check out http://www.touchbaseuk.org/find-a-game/. There’ll also soon be photos of the day on the website but we’ll let you know when their up.
Feeling sore?
A huge thank you again to Nathalie, Natalie and Sue who used their osteopathy and sports massage skills to keep many of us running around. Their work details are attached so get in touch if you missed out on the day or need more help getting back to your sporting peak.
They gave their time for free and through your donations we were able to raise over £110 for a charity called Adventure Plus (www.adventureplus.org.uk) which runs outdoor pursuit holidays for kids from tough backgrounds.
Lost property
Call Chris on 07890 455790 if you’re missing any of these: Black Umbro shorts, small red rucksack (with Jessica Scott written on), green Regatta waterproof, green Eurohike water bottle, Samurai Rugby ball.
Thoughts?
Let us know if there’s things you’d like to see at the next Cross Touch tournament – bouncy castle has already been mentioned! Also if Ali’s talk got you thinking I’d recommend getting yourself on a Christianity Explored (www.christianityexplored.org) or Alpha (www.alpha.org) course as they’re great places to chat stuff though.
Congrats to the winners and if you didn’t win get training and you might beat them next year!
Cheers
The Cross Touch 09 team
