Experience/Qualifications necessary, along with understanding of role in relatively social, new-to-Touch setting | Roles include: 1) Arrive early for brief in order for all to agree on rule variations, disciplinary protocols, dualling arrangements, approach to event, etc. 2) Be available to co-ordinate with Pre-Tournament Coaches AND/OR offer coaching to inexperienced players prior to games starting 3) Be available to help at Captains’ meeting to ensure rule variations, disciplinary protocols, etc. are clearly explained prior to games starting 4) Work closely with Pitch Managers to ensure correct scorecards are ready at start of each game and correctly completed scorecards are passed back the to Scores & Draws table, and to ensure any injuries are dealt with carefully and quickly to enable games to continue with minimal delay or offense |

Able to multi-task with time pressure? | Roles include: 1) Registering teams on arrival of their captains (and politely directing guests away from the registration table to their teams, to the Snack Shack for general information, or just somewhere where they’re not in the way of the potentially hectic registration procedure!) – this may include taking late payment (money will be banked via the Snack Shack) 2) Keeping track of scores as games finish and publishing these as they come in on whiteboards/flipcharts 3) Calculating play-off games after the pool games have been played |

| Pitch Managers | Sociable, but willing to periodically work under time pressure as priority | Roles include: 1) Arriving early to help mark out the pitches if possible 2) Spending time getting to know Team Captains, Players, and Supporters scheduled to play on your pitch before games begin, where possible 3) Liaising with the Scores & Draws table to ensure that: i. Team Captains (and Referees if applicable) are ready on the sideline of the pitch they are to play (/ref) on 5 minutes before the preceding game is to end ii. The next game’s scorecard is prepared and ready for the pitch Referee iii. Completed scorecards are collected from Referees as games end and are delivered to Scores & Draws as quickly as reasonably possible 4) Ensure Referees have pitch-side access to drinking water at all times, between and during games 5) Attend to injuries (this will more than likely involve simply helping any injured players off the pitch and then calling a First Aid Officer) |
